Today we started a new lesson and the dialouge talked about the great and mighty Russian language. There are different ways of speaking Russian, and different vocabulary, for ordinary speach, the Bible and preaching, and liturature. It is important to know them all.
On the way home from school today another student at school, not in my class, told me about a new study done on languages. I guess they have now determined that Russian is the hardest language in the world! So for those of you that think I will be fluent after two years, think again. Even Russian university students make dozens of mistakes in every paper they turn in. All of that news can seem rather discouraging. God is bigger than the Russian language. The one who created it is enabling me to speak it.
