Only in Russia

You know you are in Russia when...
-You get a telephone call telling you your teacher will be late because all of the teachers are locked in the office. Ten minutes later someone comes with the keys that were thrown down to them from the window. An hour and a half later you finally leave class because you are told it will be at least another hour. When you finally walk by the office you see two American guys throwing an extention chord up two stories to our teachers. They catch it and and pull up a saw with the extension chord. How did they finally get out, I do not know.
-They spend months putting in new sidewalks and parks down the middle of the main street in town only to find out that soon they will demolish the whole thing to make the street wider.
-They put in new bus stops and benches and then add a new sidewalk on top of the old one so that all the new benches are six inches off the ground.
-Women clean their rugs by beating them upside down in the snow.
I am sure there are many other things I could write but this is all that has come to mind at the moment.
