Today in church we celebrated the Russian holiday "jatva" it is a type of harvest celebration. Everyone brings fruits and vegetables to decorate with. Durring the service we had special music and the sermon was on being thankful for everything God gives us. Remembering the small things. I even dusted off my clarinet and played. After the service we had a potluck type meal and fellowship together.

Good for you playing the clarinet! I wonder how the date of zhatva is decided. Is it up to each church? Ours is in a couple of weeks.

Zhatva is traditionally the last Sunday in September. We had ours early because our pastor is going to be gone.
